What We Do

SNAFU was created in early 2005 and with its rapid growth, became a 501(c)(3) very quickly.  We have an email listserv where subscribers receive information on advocacy strategies, education on special education laws, local SNAFU events and much more.  To sign up for our email listserv, please click HERE.

SNAFU offers a variety of support and outreach services.  From support group meetings to fun outings, please check out our EVENTS page for more information. We have a Yahoo Group where you can post questions to our members.  More information on our CONTACT US page.

SNAFU offers to help pay for private assessments and services for families that cannot afford to pay on their own.  For more information, please contact us regarding this service.  The amount of assessments and services is determined on how successful our fundraising is.  SNAFU and the children and families it serves depends on people like you.  Please read our How You Can Help page for more information.

Our newest program is Working Inclusively to Navigate Greater Success, or WINGS.  Read more about our WINGS program HERE.

Because SNAFU freely shares information without regard to continuous retaliation we have received, many rumors have been started about SNAFU.  SNAFU is not currently, nor has ever sued any person, entity, agency or anyone else.  Should you hear of any rumors or would like clarification on anything, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We will be open, honest and forthright.

SNAFU exists to support special-needs children and their families.  If there is something we can do for you and your family, please let us know!
